Hotel Caravel

This hotel is in a lovely location just 25mins walk from the centre of Sorrento. Although the hotel is a little dated, everything was very clean and well kept. The hotel offer a shuttle bus to and from Sorrento every 30mins and this is a fantastic service! The hotel staff were very obliging. When we were out for the day, if I needed to book the bus or change to a different bus, I just phoned the hotel and there was never a problem. The breakfast was a buffet with a good selection - lovely fresh melon and pineapple, hams and cheeses and cereals - there was a selection of sweet cakes and sweet bread but there wasn't any fresh crusty bread - also the croissants were a long life variety and not the best. If you ask, they were always happy to provide a freshly cooked omelettes or eggs. Lovely coffee served with a jug of hot milk every morning.

We had a wonderful time at this property had everything we needed. It was clean and a great location. Also had complementary shuttle service to the town of Sorrento, which was a 10 minute ride. The breakfast was very good and service from the staff Excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Tourists from USA and Europe, a little bit of an older crowd. we did not see any children because it was September and they were all back in school.

The location of the property and the position of our room No 417 gave us exceptional views of the bay of Naples and the surrounding hillsides of Sant Agnello including Mount Vesuvius.

Hotel is in a perfect location. The courtesy bus to Sorrento is a very welcome feature. The staff are so very friendly and helpful - they even organised a little bag of food for us on our very early morning departure. Any issues (such as requiring batteries to operate the room safe) were dealt with promptly. Breakfast was fine and plentiful. Rooms are very clean and were visited each day by the cleaning staff.

Hotel Caravel is in a lovely location in Sorrento (Sain' Angelo). It is a three minute walk to the sea where you will find a restaurant overlooking the sunset on the Bay of Naples. There is a shuttle bus that will take you near to Sorrento Train Station and the historic center in approx. ten minutes. The room and bathroom were a good size and very clean. Our room had a balcony overlooking the swimming pool, and tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast was exceptional - a full English breakfast with a huge selection of pastries, croissants, bread, juices and fruit - the best variety we had on the Amalfi Coast. The staff are very helpful, especially Alessia. I would highly recommend this hotel if staying in Sorrento.
